Nearly one sixth of all the human beings on Earth live in India. Officially titled the Republic of India, it’s located in Asia and is bordered by the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean. The countries that border it are Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, China and Bhutan. The Himalayas border India too.
पृथ्वी के सभी मनुष्यों में से लगभग छठा भारत में रहता है। आधिकारिक तौर पर भारत गणराज्य का शीर्षक, यह एशिया में स्थित है और बंगाल की खाड़ी, अरब सागर, और हिंद महासागर से घिरा है। जिन देशों की सीमा है, वे बांग्लादेश, नेपाल, पाकिस्तान, चीन और भूटान हैं। हिमालय की सीमा भारत में भी है।
India’s most spoken language is Hindi. Some other languages are Oriya Tamil and Telugu. The main religion in India is Hindus, or followers of Hinduism. They worship gods, goddesses, or deities. In Hindus, people believe that after the body dies physically, the soul is reborn to a different form. Some other religions are Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism.

India’s economic growth has brought challenges to the environment. Waters have been badly polluted and many acres have been cleared for farming. The Ganges River is the most polluted river in India and the world! Many animal habitats have been destroyed and many animals have been killed.
भारत की आर्थिक वृद्धि ने पर्यावरण को चुनौतियां दी हैं। पानी बुरी तरह से प्रदूषित हो चुका है और खेती के लिए कई एकड़ जमीन साफ हो गई है। गंगा नदी भारत और दुनिया की सबसे प्रदूषित नदी है! कई पशु आवास नष्ट हो गए हैं और कई जानवर मारे गए हैं।
